Hey Kitty, what have you been doing instead of giving a strong start to your new blog?
Well, my handsome and wise accuser, I have been working too hard and getting too hot in this heatwave. But fret not, I have been crafting a little too!
I have been working on hexagons made of my most ugliest yarn to make this crocheted granny blanket. You can see it is snuggling up to my giant monochrome granny square blanket. I almost hope it gets cold again so that I can use them.
In addition, I made a skirt! It took about 2 hours! All I did was take 2 metres of fabric, trim it to the right length, hem it, sew up a back seam and insert some elastic. I’ve been eyeing up this fabric for months so I’m pretty happy with this skirt.
If you should happen to want to make your own, the fabric I used can be bought at Lady Sew and Sew
I have also baked some flapjack for my knitting club. A few people have gone away for the summer so I think this is going to go a long way…
I’m having some trouble in deciding what my next project should be…I keep starting things, especially knitting, and then ripping them out a few rows later. Maybe I should master baking cakes? Take up embroidery? Knit a dress? Practice curling my hair? Has anyone out there got a thrilling new skill or challenge for me to try?
